ValveCaps Silicone Thread Grease Sachet

A handy little sachet of silicone thread grease that is used to help prevent alloy tyre valve caps and dust caps from seizing onto metal (brass or stainless steel) tyre valve stems. This can sometimes happen when ‘bi-metallic corrosion’ occurs between two dissimilar metals, i.e: the threads of the valve stem and valve cap, as a direct result of the materials coming into contact with ‘activators’ such as road salt or aggressive wheel cleaning chemicals.

Simply tear the sachet open and apply a small amount of silicone grease to the thread of each valve stem before attaching the valve cap. We would recommend that the silicone thread grease is re-applied to valve stems periodically to ensure that they remain in good condition and free from corrosion. Although designed specifically for the automotive and marine industries, our Silicone Thread Grease can also be used in many other applications including:-

• Lubrication of metal, rubber, plastics and many other materials
• Industrial and plumbing applications, to lubricate push fittings, valves, gaskets and seals
• To lubricate sliding, tilting and rotating mechanisms, including doors, drawers, rollers and hinges
• For electrical insulation purposes
• To prevent seizure of any moving components or fasteners
• Also meets water and food safety requirements

Our Silicone Thread Grease is supplied in a handy ‘single use’ sachet with tear off seal and narrow delivery aperture for improved directional control when applying to the tyre valve stems.

Available in two sizes:-

2ml – Ideal for a single set of either 2 or 4 valve caps.

7ml – Ideal for multiple valve caps and various other applications
